I’m feeling really stressed with finals, trying to maximize my time, and finishing the semester strong. To help take my mind off this, I wanted to list 5 good things in my life right now. If I remind myself of the good things I have, I will realize that the stressors I’m facing are temporary.
#1 I secured a summer internship.
Summer internships have become harder and harder to land, so I am extremely thankful that to have received an offer. I have housing covered, and the program staff for my internship are lovely which is assuring. It’s going to be a great summer.
#2 I’m a very put together person.
I like that I’m a very collected person because it helps me so much in completing tasks and meeting deadlines. Throughout this entire semester, I’ve never really gotten behind on my school work or missed due dates. It’s so easy when you’re studying abroad, to forget to study. I’m proud of myself for maintaining my priorities.
#3 I am financially responsible.
I’m happy that while studying abroad this semester, I’ve never run out of money, or felt like I couldn’t do or buy something because I didn’t have money. The financial rules I set for myself last semester have paid off, and allowed me to have a wonderful time abroad.
#4 I’m going to see my family and friends back home soon.
Though I am sad to be leaving Denmark, I am excited to see my family and friends. I’ve missed them all so much these past few months, and I can’t wait to catch up with all of them.
#5 I’m making plans.
Before I leave in less than two weeks, I want to have the best time in Copenhagen. In between preparing for my finals, I will explore the city, try new restaurants, and make more memories. I’m making plans to hang out with some friends before the semester is over which will give me something to look forward to.
No matter what happens this finals season, I’m going to put in my best effort, pray I do well, and enjoy myself. If you find yourself falling down a pit of stress, think of good things you have in your life. Try to think of at least three. It’ll make you feel so much better.
