A maintenance routine is extremely important. I know you may be thinking that “I don’t have the time or the money to add all these extra things to my routine”. I completely get it. Some people choose to get blowouts every week, others get a monthly facial, others like me take to shaving their face every couple of weeks.
The key to not having to try so hard every morning is to have a maintenance routine, so that getting ready isn’t as stressful. If you maintain your appearance regularly, you’ll always look good, and in turn feel good.
Shaving your face is really easy, and only takes a few steps. First, I grab a facial razor and make sure that my face is wet. I usually shave my face when I have my cleanser on. Then with a couple of my fingers I pull my skin taut and shave in one direction. By having your face wet, and pulling your skin taut, you’ll lessen your chance of cutting your skin. Additionally, only shave the areas that are supported by bone and avoid acne prone areas. Below I have included a guide as to wear I recommend you shave.
Besides giving you really smooth skin, shaving your face will make your skin glow and make it easier to apply your makeup. Next time, you’re in the razor aisle at the store, consider picking up a facial razor. Don’t knock it until you try it.
