Happy New Year Everyone! Even if you may not have had the best 2023, it’s okay because that doesn’t mean you can’t have an amazing 2024. This week, I wanted to talk a little about manifestation, and setting goals for the new year.
Every year, I tell myself I’m gonna do this, be this, act like this, and it never works. This year I’m trying something a little new to me: Manifestation. From my research, manifestation has 2 main moving parts: having positive thoughts and focusing on what you want. These 2 steps seem pretty simple, so I’m going to try and implement them this year.
How I Accidentally Manifested Last Year
Last semester, I accidentally manifested my grades. To explain, at the start of the semester I told myself that I really wanted to get all As at the end of the semester. There were a lot of things working against my goal. It was my first semester of college, I was taking bio and chem at the same time, and I was living in a new city, new home, and new environment. Getting all As was looking impossible, but I didn’t lose hope. I kept telling myself that I could get all As if I worked hard, and was intentional with my time. I went to office hours whenever I could, used my free time to review for exams, and studied with my fellow classmates.
After a grueling yet fun semester, I finished with all As. I know I was shocked as well. I owe a lot of this to manifestation. Through manifestation, I worked even harder than I did in high school because I wanted those As. This semester was certainly not a walk in the park, but every night when I was studying all I envisioned was getting an A in all of my classes, and that vision came true.
This year manifesting is how I plan to complete my goals, and to start I’m going to write them all down below.
My 2024 Goals
- Romanticize life more.
- Go to New York
- Shop at more local businesses. Ex. A Bookstore
- Learn how to play tennis.
- Volunteer at DC Fashion Week.
- Get really nice fitting, good quality jeans.
- Plan more excursions off campus.
- Get back into sewing.
- Bake some sourdough bread.
- Figure out what classes I need to take and when so that I can study abroad Fall Junior year.
- Go apple picking.
- Learn what style of studying is best for me.
- Go to a concert.
- Get better at walking in heels.
- Make this blog profitable.
- Take more risks with my style.
- Buy more of my clothes secondhand.
- Take a trip to Boston.
- Stop fantasizing and start living.
To go along with writing all of my goals, I plan on reading them to myself everyday. Also, I am also creating a vision board on Pinterest that you can find here. I advise you all to do these things as well, especially making the pinterest board. It’s really fun.
The most important thing I want you all to take away is that when you’re in the process of manifesting something you have to be actively working towards that goal. This means maybe contacting someone that could help you get that job you want or picking up extra shifts so that you can go on that vacation you’ve always wanted to go on. Take the steps needed to achieve that goal.
Thank you all for reading this week’s article. I hope you all enjoyed it and try manifesting this year. Make sure to subscribe to be notified of new posts. Stay sharp 😉
